There are many different types of Orthotics to choose from. Complete Feet has it’s own in-house laboratory to customise the perfect fitting foot supports for you.
There are 3 main types of Orthotics to choose from:
- Rigid Orthotics- are commonly made with carbon fibre or polypropylene plastic form a cast of the client’s feet. They are less bulky and provide more stability than the semi-rigid type for biomechanical problems. May be more suitable for women’s dress footwear.
- Semi-rigid Orthotics- made from a high density foam, these are a cushioning type of support that allows the foot to move in a more natural way. They are often more suitable for arthritic, diabetic or elderly feet.
- Customised Orthotics- suitable for younger clients who are growing or less serious foot complaints. They are fabricated from a tracing and measurements of the client’s foot and footwear and are available in rigid and semi rigid materials. Simple soft insoles can also be customised for less expense.
